The Riesling community of Wormeldange owns its name to their excellent soil conditions and steep slopes, a terroir that is ideal for the ripening of magnificent Riesling grapes. On the 3rd weekend of September, you can taste the flavours of a perfect Riesling, all other products and Crémants in the winegrowers’ open cellars, wine bars and vineyards. Wine tasting and wine sale directly at the winemaker! A special wine also needs special advertising? You are right, the coronation of the Riesling Queen traditionally starts the Riesling Open! She will be on tour with her wine princesses at over 70 appearances at home and abroad. Take the chance and ask for a Selfie! The four wine villages Wormeldange, Ehnen, Ahn and Machtum of the Riesling community Wormeldange open their cellars together. Discover the musical entertainment programme and local specialities in all 3 villages. On Sundays, you even have the unique opportunity to take a trip on the MS Princesse Marie-Astrid and be navigated free of charge by ferry from Moselle town to Moselle town.
