Print and Playing Card Museum of Luxembourg
The “Print and Playing Card Museum of Luxembourg” presents two permanent exhibitions.
The exhibition on playing cards retraces the history of playing cards with a special focus on the Dieudonné family that produced playing cards in Grevenmacher for 5 generations. The exhibition, which was completely redesigned in 2011, is captivating due to its child-friendliness and interactive exhibits that offer fun for the entire family.
The newly revised exhibition “Gutenberg Revisited” gives a comprehensive and detailed form to the history of printing and offers not only many new objects, a clear timeline and continuous texts in three languages (DE, FR, EN), the visitor can also print a souvenir on a historical hand press.
Multilingual free guided tours and a wide range of workshops complete the museum programme.
Group tours through both exhibitions can be organised on request.
