The lakes are so lovely to swim in. We always have a great time. The lifeguards are alert and enforce safety rules which is reassuring. It’s all clean and well looked after. I would like to see more flowers though. It’s excellent value for money. It’s easy to book and I would definitely recommend this place to my friends. I have done so already to many people. Just ask the café to take card payments as well as cash. In short, a fabulous way to spend a sunny day in Luxembourg. Thank you.

1. The water was really dirty (they could at least collect the trashes on the water!) 2. There was not enough sand on the beach 3. The places around the lake were not clean (it was filled with sharp objects and birds shit!) 4. The ground underwater was rough (they could at least put some stuff on the ground underwater) I think that we paid for nothing! because when you pay, you expect some extra services than free places but we didn't feel anything special than free lakes.

We enjoyed swimming in the Baggerweier, as we like good, long swims. The water was of good quality (apparently), but we were not so pleased that 1) other people on the beach had annoying techno-music next to us 2) the sand of the beach has lots of duck poop. The sand should be regularly combed through, and was not. Otherwise, it is a very nice outdoor setting, the "natural" feeling is certainly a plus. The personnel was courteous and helpful, the toilets were clean.

Overall, it was really nice to spend some time near the water during these hot days, but I think there are many things to be improved, such as: - clean the baby lake, currently the water is black like in the swamp, rocks on the floor - not a place for little kids to play or swim; - bring more sand to the beaches; - almost impossible to find a place in the shade, all places below the trees are fully packed, add some sunshades

Nice place it has playground for kids sand and shallow little lake. Well organized and laid out overall, has toilets, bar But REALLY hard to find a parking, hard even to buy tickets when the weather is good Long line/wait to enter Inside, you can't find a (decent) spot to place your towel when the weather is nice Why no sand? Just gravel, stones on the shores and underwater - unpleasant and risky for feet. The sand playground for kids too small for the crowd. Overall nice but not worth due to agglomeration, they close early, have no sand and underwater stones are slippery, pointy/sharp sometimes

Place is fine, but would be nice if they could buy some sand as there are only rocks. The worst thing is reservation system. In case you provide wrong email it’s not possible to cancel reservation (no one reply in following email or phone). Better to do login form where I could login, to my account. Also I would like to download the reservation not just open in browser pdf, as on mobile phone it does not work. Also should be one pdf with all reservations not to print in my case 6 pages.

I like it but the nice shady area where we wanted to stay was full of dog/cat shit which is a pity. Maybe an area can also foreseen where no music is allowed to be played as young people are generally very disrespectfull nowaday. I like the Baggerweier however and will continue to visit.

I spent a night in 'Keup' hotel in Weiswampach which is located few minutes walking distance from the lake. Nice service, good breakfast inlcuded in the price, a good place to change the environment and enjoy the calmness of northern Luxembourg. Located 15 minutes by car from Clervaux which I recommend to consider when planning the trip.

there could be a lot more done to make the children’s lake more attractive. Can you plant lots and lots of wild flowers or have big tubs of flowers all over the place? This is to make it more of a paradise feel. Can you build a proper toilet block? The blue temporary ones are ugly and unhygienic. The cafe needs to be updated and sell healthy foods as well as chips and ice creams. I love this lake though.

Really a good idea from the government to organise controlled access to the lakes during a tough Corona virus epidemic. Due to the limit in the number of people who can be at the lake at any time the atmosphere is friendly, relaxed and fun. There is enough space for everyone without infringement on personal space, smell of suspicious bbq food, drunkenness and rowdiness. Overall, it is a great experience. Thank you to the young volunteers at the gate and on the ground for keeping everyone in check and reminding of the rules.

Ce samedi, j'ai vu une femme sur un matelas gonflable suivre un groupe d'oies dans l'eau, leur crier dessus, leur jetter de l'eau et les harceler jusqu'à ce que les pauvres se cachent au milieu des plantes. J'ai crié pour qu'elle arrête mais elle était au-delà des bouées donc ne pouvait m'entendre. Donc je l'ai signalé aux surveillants de la tour qui ont eu aucune attitude et sont restés passifs, même pas un coup de sifflet, cela m'a laissé perplexe et particulièrement déçue quand aux comportements et caractères de certains humains.

Overall we really liked the lake, it’s just a shame that it is not a little more organized, in the sense that there is no possibility to rent the beach chairs, umbrellas, also only one bar with limited food choices, so basically you needs to bring everything if you want to stay for the day.

A lovely place but opening hours are ridiculous! And once every one was « evacuated » because of storm by 5pm and that storm never came. It is a really lovely place and I am glad bbq are not allowed anymore, but opening hours from 10 to 6 is not serious.

We really enjoyed our stay - it seems that this is the only swimming lake in Luxembourg where you can rest in a grill-smoke-free environment, without having to listen to loud music coming either from the operators of the place or other guests. :) We really appreciate it! There could be more parking places around and the booking process could be simpler but I would definitely recommend it to my friends.

I don't mind paying 5 euros for using the lake only (never the crowded part, but a bit further away), but why do you close at 6 pm? the sun is up and warm till 8pm.

We had a great day with friends . I was there last year and I didn’t like all the BBQ and all the smoke and people are not always cleaning after themselves . So this time there was no BBQ so it was great . Thank you to all the staff for their hard work.

If you download the available PDF on the site it is possible to understand that dogs are allowed because the “Dogs not allowed” sign appears only on the fishing lake. When I arrived at the place there was a huge sign that Dogs are not allowed, so I wasted my money and time misled by the information on the site

It is really a nice place to visit either alone or with friends or family. I would give 5 stars, but there are two issues that should be addressed: - why bank cards are not accepted in the buffet? During covid it should be default to take cards. - some parts next to beach are covered with a lot of animal feces, every 15 cms. Those parts should be cleaned!!

I love the lake and have been visiting the lake for over 20 years.my children learned to swim there..Please recognise that the opening times...despite Covid are no good for working people..I enjoy swimming first thing in the morning. 10am -6pm means during the week I cannot go. Can you please have an early morning time for working people? Just open for 1 hour 7-8am for example or later in the evening..thank you.

The only thing we would appreciate would be the possibility to pay by invoice. It is quite difficult for us to pay by credit card. Otherwise, yes, I would definitely recommend it!

The sandy beach was nice and the water was clean and refreshing. Only negative point is the total lack of social distancing when the crowds come. No one seems to care so we left when it got to busy. Overall a nice place and clean - would suggest to go early in the morning untill early afternoon as you will have ample space to relax and enjoy the swimming.

Enough for a getaway destination with your family. Take a boat as lake is big enough to use it. Booking process was very straightforward and easy. Despite website is saying no way to buy a ticket onsite, there was a ticket desk. But, it might no be the case every time. So, use this information at your own risk!

Perfect water and facilities that, unfortunately, concentrate people on limited space. There are large areas covered by grass which can’t be used as they’re very densely covered by duck shit. Cleaning these areas would only support the social distancing. Crossing fingers and many thanks!

i loved the beach vibes i didnt like that the water was so dirty but i understand that its a lake and its natural i didnt like it either that when the booking on the internet is full then there are seriously no more tickets available on the spot i think u should have X tickets available online and X on the spot for those that couldnt buy on the internet or didnt have any access... the prices of the food and drinks are also overly expensive thats why i never buy anything there and i bring food from home however its very enjoyable i am certainly coming back and recommend it to my friends

Very nice and beautiful place to have fun with the kids, but I am very disappointed from the COVID-19 measures. The toilets are closed and there are chemical ones and you can't wash your hands normally with a soap. Also the boy on the food point takes the money and then touches the food...

This trip was perfect, a great day to visit the small museum, take a walk around the lakes area, and finish with a swim. The only thing that I would like is for there to be more food/drink options for take away (for takeaway there was only pizza and I cannot recall if there were drink options). It is great for a day trip so some options would be great :) Would highly recommend to all Luxembourg residents and travellers to the area/city. Thank you...

Living in a nearby village, I have taken pleasure over the past years to enjoy the Remerschen main lake after work on weekdays and weekends. The beauty of the grassy beach and quality of the water are remarkable. Due to the pandemic, the Schengen communal authority has made the decision to filter entries and cut down the number of visitors which as such are good things. What’s really annoying are the opening hours. 6:00 pm in the evening during the high summer is not reasonable and visitors should at least be let to enjoy the site until 20:00 or 21:00. Many people rely on this site to spend a moment of holidays, which this year for the known reasons, cannot be taken abroad. So a little bit of flexibility here would be appreciated by anyone visiting.

If you wish to be in nature, with access to a sandy beach and with the possibility of freshwater swimming, this is for you. The infrastructure is good, though certain facilities were not available due to coronavirus restrictions.

We really enjoyed our afternoon here. It was easy to book and it’s great to know numbers are monitored for safety reasons. Very well managed. I would recommend the lake as a trip. It is beautiful and well maintained. At the entrance, if you haven't booked online, they only take cash, which is a somewhat frustrating.

I’m so pleased this lake has re-opened after confinement - it is a great way to swim without being in a pool. An added bonus is that the water temperature is lovely at the moment too! The lake and facilities seem more formally run this year, which is maybe Covid-related: online ticket purchase, wristbands, a more formal entrance and the closing time is adhered to closely. Don’t expect to be able to show up after 6pm and swim anymore! Also the showers and WCs are out of action, but there are plenty of porta-loos around the place. As ever, it is well-kept and devoid of litter, no matter how busy. We went on a very busy public holiday and a cooler Saturday recently, and both times it has a nice atmosphere of families and groups enjoying themselves, with enough space for everyone. Highly recommended.

The water at the large lake is not great for swim, lots of grass and algae, this can be regularly removed to ensure a more enjoyable experience. Especially, since we pay to use the lake, I'd expect the water to be much more well taken care of. For quick comparison, the water at the free bathing spot in the Sure lake, at Lultzhausen, is much more clean and clear. Then, there's no shadow at all. Why not to install some tents or offer umbrellas, even if it's with additional cost? Almost no trees to enjoy natural shadow either. Overall, I don't think it's worth the experience, regardless the cost, and even if we have very limited options for bathing in natural water in Lux, this is not in the top of the list.

It was a perfect sunny day and we had a great time. We found a great spot as we got there early. It was clean apart from some cigarette buds. The bathrooms were out of service and the temporary toilets were not great but other than that all good.

Post-COVID the price went up to 7 EUR and the place closes az 6 pm. Closing means really closing, everyone must leave the place. The lake is nice, even nicer a bit further off the noise of children. We are not allowed to enjoy the sun until 9 pm on a beautiful day.
