This exciting trail runs mainly through the nature reserve Manternacher Fiels. From the starting point Burfeld, the trail leads you over pastureland and through orchards into an impressive wooded gorge. Following the course of the river Syre, you will then climb up along the gigantic rock strata Michelslay and suddenly discover a vineyard in the middle of the forest! You continue through the narrow Kerbtal (valley) of Schlammbach (creek) before reaching the Lelliger Plateau with its exceptional views. Descending the steps of old vineyard walls, you will come across the remains of historic mills and return to Manternach.
