miniWËNZER
miniWËNZER
Deze inhoud is helaas niet in het Nederlands beschikbaar. This year, for the first time, a new project for children will be offered in Manternach called "miniWËNZER", in which interesting facts about work in the vineyard will be taught for a whole year. The kids between the ages of 8 and 10 actively help out and, under the guidance of winemaker Laurence Duhr, learn what happens to the vines during the entire vegetation period, from pruning in early spring, bending and tying, to leaf defoliation in summer to towards harvesting and pressing the grapes in autumn. Of course, a traditional harvest festival should not be missing at the end. Each child gets two vines to look after for the duration of the growing season.
Not only wine thrives in the cultural landscape of vineyards, there is a lot of life in dry stone walls and rows of vines. With the nature experience guide Jutta Kanstein, the children explore everything that grows, blooms and crawls here.
The influence of the soil and the weather on the diversity of species is conveyed in exactly the same way as the respectful treatment of everything that nature offers us. In doing so, a variety of way, the awareness of the protection and preservation of this fascinating cultural landscape is promoted.
