Leuchtpunkt Ahn - Afterwork hike
Embark on a guided hike with Jutta Kanstein (tourist guide / nature experience guide) along the shell limestone cliffs through the steep vineyards of the Palmberg with marvellous views of the Moselle valley.
Here on the Palmberg, it is mainly Riesling that ripens, which achieves a special quality due to the shell limestone and the pronounced south-eastern exposure.
Through the vineyards you reach a nature reserve with old box trees and orchid meadows. Part of the trail leads through the ravine forest in the valley of the Donver stream, which is crossed several times.
Explanations about the geology of the Moselle valley and the biodiversity of the Palmberg await you on a section of the "Palmberg Wine & Nature Trail" dream loop!At the end, you can enjoy a wine tasting.
The hike is approx. 5 km long and takes approx. 2 hours, followed by a visit to a local winegrower (approx. 1 hour).
