DUO BASILI KOSOVINC
The Basili Kosovinc Duo brings together internationally acclaimed musicians Cristina Basili (cello) and Timotej Kosovinc (guitar). They share a deep commitment to exploring the expressive potential of chamber music for cello and guitar and to forging new paths within the classical tradition. As prize-winners of numerous international competitions—including the Royal Maas Competition and the Ligita Competition—they are recognized for their artistic excellence and innovative spirit.

Their repertoire encompasses both classical works for cello and guitar and contemporary compositions, many of which were penned by guitarist and composer Timotej Kosovinc. With a special focus on timbre, atmosphere, and emotional depth, their performances create vivid musical soundscapes and establish a unique connection with the audience. Their recordings have been broadcast on radio and television in Slovenia, Austria, and Greece; furthermore, the duo performs across Europe, appearing at major chamber music and guitar festivals as well as in renowned concert halls. Both musicians are on the faculty of the J. G. Albrechtsberger Music School in Klosterneuburg, an institution that is a partner to the Grevenmacher Music School.
