On October 19, 2024 at 5:00 PM, Luxembourg Philharmonia invites you to its Autumn Concert in Grevenmacher. The orchestra, made up of around 90 musicians, will present a varied program featuring works by Eastern European composers.

The concert opens with the Violin Concerto (1940) by Aram Khachaturian. The soloist for the evening is internationally acclaimed violinist Davide Alogna, known for his virtuosic performances.

After the intermission, Luxembourg Philharmonia will take the audience on a journey through the soundscapes of Central Asia with two works by Alexander Borodin:

.

  • In the Steppes of Central Asia. (1882)
  • Polovtsian Dances from the opera Prince Igor

These compositions are known for their vibrant melodies and rhythmic richness, and are among Borodin’s most beloved works.
