The Tradition of the « Trauliicht » – A Creative Workshop for Children
It’s a tradition! Once again this year, the « A Possen » Museum invites you to take part in the custom of the « Trauliicht ». On Saturday, October 25th, children aged 6 to 12 will have the chance to actively engage in this fascinating ritual. Together with our mediator, the young participants will learn how to create a « Trauliicht » from a turnip. First, the turnip is hollowed out, and then the children carve a spooky face that brings the « Trauliicht » to life. At the end of this creative afternoon, each child will proudly take home their own « Trauliicht » – a little work of art, designed to be extra spooky! The afternoon will be rounded off with a delicious break: the vegetable scraps will be turned into a tasty soup, providing the young artists with a boost of energy after their creative efforts. Of course, everyone is invited to dress up for this special occasion! A fun and creative afternoon filled with craftsmanship, artistic expression, and delicious treats.
