Lace up your hiking boots and discover the tri-border region where Luxembourg, France and Germany meet on a spectacular long-distance hike.

Designed for passionate hikers and outdoor enthusiasts, the Hike Without Borders 2026 takes you along the scenic M3-Trail, crossing three countries in a single day. Along the way, you'll experience diverse landscapes, local culture and flavours.

Starting at the Schengen Museum, you'll hike 33 km through the heart of the Greater Region. To keep you energised, three culinary stops await, including a three-course lunch in France. The perfect opportunity to discover a speciality from each country.

Your hike ends back in Schengen aboard the Prinzessin Marie-Astrid Europa, where the Schengen Agreement was signed in 1985, laying the foundations for border-free travel in Europe. Here, you will be welcomed with a glass of local wine to celebrate your achievement in a truly symbolic setting.

• The hike is 33 km long and follows the M3 Trail, you walk at your own pace

Important Information

This event is aimed at experienced hikers who enjoy spending a full day on the trail. The 33 km route requires a very good level of fitness and endurance.

• Dogs are welcome on a leash.
