Let’s sew a “hâlette”!
Let’s sew a “hâlette”!
On Saturday, May 30, young and old (children must be accompanied by an adult) can take part in a creative and historical workshop, where everyone will have the chance to sew a “hâlette.” The hâlette is a traditional head covering from the Moselle region, once worn to protect against the sun. It covers the head and shoulders and provided women with good protection while working outdoors. Whether you are a beginner or experienced in sewing, this workshop is open to everyone! Our mediator will guide you step by step, and each participant will leave with their own handmade creation. A lunch break between 12:30 and 2:00 PM is planned at the “Wäistuff,” located right next to the museum.
