"My program 'Quasi una Fantasia' conceives of *fantasia* as inner freedom and as a path leading from nocturnal contemplation to poetic vision. I want to make this idea audible—as a musical journey filled with visionary soundscapes and sudden shifts in mood," says Anne-Rose Terebesi. The journey begins with the *Andante* from Scriabin’s *Sonata-Fantasy*, inspired by the moods of the sea and a mysterious stillness. Following this contemplative introduction, Chopin’s *Fantaisie-Polonaise*, Op. 61, unfolds like a gradual awakening. The work intertwines dreams, memories, and heroic moments—elements that intensify dramatically in the *Fantaisie*, Op. 49. Both *Fantasies* blend contrasting moods and rank among Chopin’s boldest masterpieces. The journey concludes with the *Fantasie*, Op. 17, composed by Robert Schumann in 1838—one of the most significant and impassioned works in the Romantic piano repertoire. Originally conceived as a tribute to Beethoven, the piece incorporates ideas from his song cycle *An die ferne Geliebte* (To the Distant Beloved). Anne-Rose Terebesi received her first piano lessons from her father. After graduating from the Peter Cornelius Conservatory in Mainz, her artistic development was shaped by intensive studies with Oscar Vetre. She performs both at home and abroad, teaches at the Grevenmacher regional music school, and in 2015 founded "Musicadelux," a concert series dedicated to supporting young musicians from Luxembourg. She was named a Steinway Artist in 2021, and since 2024, she has been a member of the Moselmusikfestival ASBL.
