Domaine Viticole Stronck-Pinnel

Founded in 1855, the “Stronck-Pinnel” estate is a traditional family-run business with its own sparkling wine production facility. The estate’s own Luxembourg Crémant Saints Pierre et Paul has been produced since 1992.

In addition, a range of high-quality grape varieties such as Riesling, Auxerrois, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris and Pinot Noir are grown on the limestone soils of Greiweldingen.

Depending on the vintage, we also produce speciality sweet wines such as ice wine or Spätlese; however, the main focus of our winery is on classic dry wines.

Our vineyards are managed according to the principles of ‘integrated viticulture’.

This philosophy, combined with low yields and a selective harvest of the grapes, enables us to produce the finest, most exquisite wines and crémants.

The village of Greiveldange lies approximately 1 km inland from the Moselle, coming from Hüttermühle, which has the advantage that the inhabitants (around 670) need not fear flooding from the Moselle. The coordinates are:

Furthermore, the people of Greiveldange have thus been able to plant vines on their best south-facing slopes, such as Déifert, Hëtt and Häreberg, rather than building houses there.

Greiveldingen was already inhabited in Celtic times, as remains of Celtic settlements were found on the outskirts of the village on the road towards Lenningen.

Coming from Remich, however, you can also drive up the Primerberg and, from the top, admire the meander of the Moselle, which winds its way from Déifert around the Hamm to Hëttermillen.

Every 15 August, there is a large village festival where visitors can sample the wines and crémants produced by the Greiveldingen winegrowers and admire the works of art on display at the artists’ stalls.
