Start: Potaschberg

The circuit climbs back up to edge of the valley, passing through the quiet villages of Nieder- and Oberdonven.

This circuit begins near the archaeological site of Potaschberg, where the foundations of a major second-century funeral monument can be seen. The Romans, who introduced vines on the slopes of the Moselle two thousand years ago, left behind a valuable heritage in this region. Explore the covered valley by going down towards Grevenmacher, the “capital” of the Luxembourg Moselle, or visit the Bernard-Massard cellars, the Butterfly Garden, the Printing Museum or the Card Games Museum.
