Description
From the starting point in Remich, cycle past Bolzplatz via Avenue Lamort-Velter to Rue de la Gare, past the parish church in the direction of “Jangelisbunn”, up through the forest (cycle path PC11 – an asphalt path) to Ellange-Gare; the path was part of the narrow-gauge railway line between Luxembourg City and Remich from 1882 to 1955. Behind the “Triangle Vert” business park you have a wonderful view of the spa town of Bad Mondorf. The Thermal Baths, the Aviation Museum and an Easy Golf course in the Thermal Park are just a few highlights. Continue through the “Neelchesbirenallee”, past the Maus Kätti statue in Brumerange, before soon revealing magnificent views over the Moselle Valley. Travelling through the vineyards and the wine-growing village of Remerschen, and passing the Valentiny Foundation – a must-see for art lovers – you then reach the historic town of Schengen, the cradle of Europe. The tour concludes with a leisurely ride back to the starting point in Remich along the banks of the Moselle.
This tour is only signposted in the direction described above (anticlockwise).

From the starting point in Remich, cycle past Bolzplatz via Avenue Lamort-Velter to Rue de la Gare, past the parish church in the direction of “Jangelisbunn”, up through the forest (cycle path PC11 – an asphalt path) to Ellange-Gare. The tour then takes you behind the Triangle Vert commercial area, continuing through the “Neelchesbirenallee”, via field trails to Burmerange. Passing the Maus Kätti statue, continue along “Am Bongert” and “Am Pesch” in the direction of Remerschen. Soon you will enjoy a magnificent view over the Moselle Valley. The descent leads through the vineyards down to the wine-growing village of Remerschen. At the edge of the village, the route once again follows the “Chemin dit Jungenbergerweg” into the vineyards, passes beneath the motorway, and continues through the wooded surroundings of Schengen. Emerging from the forest, bikers are rewarded with beautiful views of the well-known Stromberg hill and the charming wine-growing village below. The route then descends through the vineyards via “Hanner der Schoul”, briefly joins the “Wäistrooss”, and turns into “Baachergaass” to reach the Schengen Museum. Following the Moselle back towards Remich, you can round off the tour at a leisurely pace on one of the many terraces along the river.
The tour can be started wherever you choose. From 18 July to 16 August, it is marked in the indicated direction.
